Model Description
GRAPHICS
Black graphic details bring a bold twist to the signature GASGAS red, with a clean white logo that pops right off the dark background. Other blacked-out parts like the seat cover, handlebar, and rims dial up the style to really set things off. Thanks to durable IML technology, the graphics are built into the bodywork to keep your GASGAS looking sharp, ride after ride.
BODYWORK
Proudly red, with sharp black details! Incredibly ergonomic with large contact surfaces to help you grip the bike with your legs, the smooth profile bodywork encourages riders to effortlessly move around on the bike and ride with a perfect technique. There’s also a super grippy seat cover, now in black, to keep you sat exactly where you need to be when you get on the gas!
HANDLEBARS
Neken handlebars are now black and clamped into redesigned bar mounts (which are more resistant to twisting if you should hit the deck), with lock-on style, medium compound ODI grips fitted to create a comfy set-up to suit most riders. A new black and red bar pad adds style and safety.
AIRBOX
Less time working on bikes means more time riding bikes, which is precisely why you’ll love the straightforward, no tools and no-nonsense filter mounting system. With a stronger one-piece design for the air intake, maximum airflow is guaranteed, and you know what that means… maximum power! Like before, accessing the air filter to inspect or replace it couldn’t be easier. Simply pop the left side panel off and you’ll be inside the airbox in no time.
FUEL TANK
Slim, transparent, and built to last – the fuel tank sits neatly inside the red bodywork and is held firmly in place by a robust rubber support that also protects the frame from wear. With an integrated fuel pump allowing the tank to be emptied further, long rides are no problem. And to keep things clean and reliable, a protective cap now shields the fuel connector from dirt and accidental damage.
FOOTPEGS
Bigger is better when it comes to footpegs. That’s precisely why they not only have a larger surface area for maximum grip, but we’ve also made them less likely to catch on the edges of deep ruts, which mean no loss to forward momentum. The pegs are also light and prevent mud from building up. So, no matter how gnarly the track gets, you’ll stay in complete control.
FRAME
The current frame hits the sweet spot between razor-sharp handling and just the right amount of flex. Lightweight motor mounts dial in the feel without messing with straight-line stability, and smart material tweaks, like a slimmed-down upper shock mount and reduced wall thickness up front, save 300g. Developed with the GASGAS Factory Racing crew, it’s a setup that stays planted and lets you push harder in every turn with a big smile in your face.
SUBFRAME
The all-aluminium subframe is light, strong, and works as one with the mainframe by helping to centralizing mass and contributing massively to the bike’s outstanding handling characteristics.
TRIPLE CLAMPS
Forged aluminum triple clamps offer just the right amount of calculated flex thanks to a more forgiving steering stem. The triple clamps align the fork tubes perfectly for a smooth action, which improves front wheel feedback and leads to predictable handling on any track and any terrain. The adjustable bar mounts with the slightly larger contact area against the handlebars reduce the chance of the bars twisting. A glass bead blasted finish means the triple clamps always look as good as new.
WP FORKS
Up front, WP XPLOR Open Cartridge forks take care of soaking up the bumps with ease. With model-specific internal settings and a split piston design, they deliver consistent damping and a smooth ride across all terrains. Compression is adjusted on the left fork leg, while rebound is dialed in on the right – both easily adjustable by hand. This setup ensures riders of all levels can fine-tune their suspension quickly and confidently.
WP SHOCK
At the rear, the WP XACT shock offers 300mm of travel and is paired with a linkage system designed for optimal traction and comfort in enduro riding. The shock features a dual compression control concept and a rebound adjuster that can be fine-tuned by hand or tool. A pressure-balanced design and low-friction seals ensure consistent damping and excellent energy absorption, even in the roughest conditions.
SWINGARM
ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION (EFI)
CYLINDER AND PISTON
One thing you won’t find on the EC 300 is an old school powervalve! As the bike’s fuelled using Throttle Body Injection (TBI), an electronic exhaust control system is used instead, and it works by opening the lateral exhaust ports before the main exhaust port opens. What does this mean? Well, it creates a smooth, strong, and very rideable power delivery that all enduro riders will love out on the trails.
TRANSMISSION
A wide ratio, 6-speed, enduro-specific transmission lets you attack the terrain and every obstacle with confidence. It’s also smooth shifting and super durable, with every gear change positive in all conditions, thanks in part to the gear lever that’s designed to prevent mud from building up around it.
CRANKSHAFT
Engineered to be just the right weight to create a lively response from the motor without sacrificing torque, the EC 300 crankshaft is perfectly balanced. This means less vibration from the motor, which is reduced even further thanks to the counter balancer shaft. The end result is less fatigue and therefore, more comfort, allowing you to ride for longer!. Just what you want when it comes to enduro.
CRANKCASE
Low in weight and super-strong, the crankcases have a thin-wall design that was made possible by using a high-pressure, die-cast production process. Within the crankcases, all moving parts are positioned to centralize mass, which plays a big role in making this bike a blast to ride!
COUNTER BALANCER SHAFT
The EC 300 motor houses a laterally mounted counter balancer shaft to significantly reduce vibration. The result? More comfort, which you’ll definitly beneft from during longer and more technical rides.
EXHAUST SYSTEM
Delivering enduro specific power! Our 2-stroke header pipes are super strong and offer optimal geometry, performance, and ground clearance, making them less susceptible to damage. The 2-stroke mufflers also feature an advanced internal construction for excellent noise damping and weight saving.
DDS CLUTCH
To ensure a consistent clutch action and a super light feel at the lever, the GASGAS EC 300 if fitted with a Damped Diaphragm Steel (DDS) clutch and a BRAKTEC hydraulic clutch system. Using a single diaphragm spring instead of using the more common coil springs, the design also incorporates a damping system, which increases both traction and durability. Additionally, the robust basket and inner hub guarantee optimal oil supply and cooling to the clutch. It’s almost maintenance free, too!
HYDRAULIC CLUTCH
When riding enduro, you know full well that you’ll need consistent clutch performance, especially when working your way through the toughest of technical sections. So, it’s for this very reason that all GASGAS enduro bikes are fitted with a quality BRAKTEC hydraulic clutch system. In addition to the lever being extremely light to pull in, which reduces fatigue, the free play of the system is also self-adjusting. This means the biting point from the moment you fire your GASGAS into life remains the same all day. Every day.
A cool-running motor is a happy motor! That’s why our GASGAS Enduro bikes feature a compact, efficient cooling system with aluminum radiators mounted close to the center of gravity for agile handling. The integrated design eliminates unnecessary hoses and keeps things slim. And when the going gets slow and technical, the radiator fan kicks in to keep temperatures in check – so you can stay focused on the ride, not the heat.
WHEELS
Built to take a beating, our wheels are ready to play rough. No matter how heavy the landing or how rough the track is, the black, CNC machined hubs, lightweight spokes, and high-strength rims deliver maximum strength for complete peace of mind.
TIRES
Grip you can trust! Fitted with a Maxxis MaxxEnduro up front and a Maxxis MaxxEnduro Soft at the rear, our enduro bikes are ready to rip across any terrain. The softer rear compound boosts traction when it counts, while both tires deliver the durability and performance you need to stay on the gas longer. Proven, reliable, and built for serious offroad fun.
OIL TANK AND PUMP
No need for premixing here! Running at an average fuel-to-oil ratio of 60:1 means one tank of oil is enough for hours and hours of riding. Controlled by the Engine Management System, an electronic oil pump feeds oil into the throttle body based on how hard the motor is working so you can be confident that no matter how hard this thing’s revving, the motor is always perfectly lubricated. Additionally, when the oil level is getting low, a warning light illuminates so you’ll know exactly when it’s time to add a little more oil.
LED LIGHT
By using LEDs to light the way, the headlight is almost three times brighter than a traditional bulb and is particularly effective when you’re deep into dense woodland. And should either the mask or headlight get damaged, the two-piece design lets you replace only what’s broken.
MAP SELECT SWITCH
Sometimes in enduro, you’ll want a different style of power delivery depending on the terrain or situation. This is where our redesigned Map Select Switch, which is available from your local GASGAS dealer, steps in. Easy to fit and offering two maps, Map 1 is super mellow and perfect for slow, technical sections. But when it comes to deep mud and softer track conditions where you need direct response, engage Map 2 and thank us later!
THROTTLE BODY
Instant response, every time you twist the throttle! Our EC 300 uses a 39mm Keihin throttle body with injectors positioned for maximum efficiency. Thanks to direct cable mounting – no linkage needed – throttle feel is super crisp and precise. A robust TPS sensor and ball-bearing-supported throttle valve reduce friction, making operation smoother than ever. It’s all about delivering clean, strong power in every gear, no matter the terrain.
ELECTRIC STARTER
To simplify starting and stopping, we’ve now put the buttons for each function into the same housing on the right-hand side of the bars. The starter motor itself is powered by a lightweight, Li-lon battery that fires this GASGAS into life as soon as you hit that start button. It’s fast and reliable. Just what you want from an electric start, really.
